What is GAB Girls ?

 

G.A.B. is an acronym for "Girls Against Bullying"

​

 When I was in first grade, I never knew what the term bully meant, nor did I realize I was being bullied at the time. I was the new girl in school. As soon as I walked into my homeroom, I was laughed at and mocked for something so simple as forgetting my gym shoes on the first day. That was only the beginning and it only got worse for me, as well as for one of my childhood friends. Through it all, I learned many important lessons. Bullying is not okay; however, I know that I would not be who I am today if it wasn’t for what I went through. I let the hate drive me to do bigger and better things with my life.

G.A.B. Girls is a movement that teaches those of all ages the importance of being a leader by standing up to bullying. We are a community of support as we encourage co-action, healthy self-esteem, and promote anti-bullying as well as suicide prevention. G.A.B. was founded in 2010 starting off with just a Facebook. Since then, we have grown into a 501©-non-profit organization.

• Provide support for victims across the nation.

• Promote kindness, self-love, and goal setting.
